Our Company’s New Business Creation Initiatives Featured in Mie Television’s Open Innovation Coverage

We are pleased to announce that a news report released by Mie Television on March 21, 2025 featured open innovation initiatives being promoted through collaboration between companies in Mie Prefecture and startup companies from across Japan.

The report introduced projects aimed at creating innovative services and new businesses by combining the technologies and expertise of multiple companies.

As highlighted in the report, Mie Prefecture supports matching between local companies seeking to try something new or solve challenges in their existing businesses and partner companies from across Japan, thereby promoting the creation of new businesses through open innovation. On March 14, 2025, the results presentation event “TOKOWAKA-MIE Innovation Conference” was also held in Yokkaichi City, bringing together approximately 50 participating companies and related organizations.

Our Initiatives

AItoAir Co., Ltd. has also been selected for this program and is promoting a co-creation project with a company in Mie Prefecture. Leveraging our strength in DX support centered on edge AI technologies, we are working on the following theme:

  • Improving production processes through the fusion of traditional industry and advanced technology
In collaboration with a manufacturing company in Mie Prefecture, we are building a “real-time AI work monitoring” system aimed at transferring skilled techniques and optimizing work processes. By digitizing diverse craftsmanship, we seek to improve both work quality and speed.

This program refers to the “TOKOWAKA-MIE Open Innovation Program,” hosted by Mie Prefecture and operated by eiicon Co., Ltd., with the aim of creating new businesses through collaboration between companies in the prefecture and partner companies from across Japan.

Future Outlook

The example introduced in Mie Television’s news coverage, involving a long-established pharmaceutical company and a startup, has attracted strong attention as a compelling case of connecting tradition and innovation through a new use of regional resources. With support from Mie Prefecture’s open innovation program, AItoAir Co., Ltd. will also continue working with full commitment to create new value together with local communities. We intend to promote co-creation not only in Mie Prefecture but with companies and organizations across Japan.

We will continue to strengthen collaboration with regional companies and local governments, and to take on the challenge of solving social issues and creating sustainable innovation.
