Our Company Presented the Results of AI Demonstrations in Logistics and Airport Operations at TECH MEETS 2026

We are pleased to announce that AItoAir Co., Ltd. presented the results of its co-creation projects under the Aichi Digital Island Project “TECH MEETS” at AICHI INNOVATION CHALLENGE 2026, held on March 18, 2026. Through this project, we collaborated with Meitetsu World Transport Co., Ltd. and ANA Chubu Airport Co., Ltd. on proof-of-concept initiatives applying AI to logistics and airport operations.

This results presentation was held as part of the joint DEMODAY conference hosted by Aichi Prefecture, where the outcomes of multiple programs, including “TECH MEETS,” were shared. At the event, we introduced two initiatives that applied computer vision AI to operational challenges in the field.

Co-creation with Meitetsu World Transport Co., Ltd.

In our initiative with Meitetsu World Transport Co., Ltd., we built a system to improve the efficiency of matching text information received from shippers with actual cargo. The system compares product images and item information registered by the shipper with cargo images captured on the warehouse side using AI. In the proof of concept conducted on February 4, 2026, the measured inbound work time was reduced from 370 seconds to 142.72 seconds, confirming an approximately 61% reduction.

Co-creation with ANA Chubu Airport Co., Ltd.

In our initiative with ANA Chubu Airport Co., Ltd., we conducted a proof of concept aimed at preventing baggage misloading in the sorting area by analyzing IP camera video with AI and issuing alerts when misloading was detected. The validation confirmed 97.0% accuracy for loading judgment, 100.0% accuracy for helmet ID detection and tracking, and 97.0% accuracy when both conditions were required, demonstrating the effectiveness of real-time video analysis for airport operations.

Future Initiatives

We will continue to leverage edge AI and computer vision technologies to promote operational efficiency, safety enhancement, and social implementation across logistics, airports, manufacturing, and other field operations. Building on the knowledge gained through this proof of concept, we will continue to develop systems that can be used continuously in real-world environments.
